Verify your burners burn and adjust your AIR/FUEL mixture:

Too Little Air (Rich Gas Mixture):
- Yellow/orange flame instead of blue
- Soot buildup on burners, food, and inside the grill (like a smoky campfire—gross)
- Poor combustion, which can waste fuel and affect taste

Too Much Air (Lean Gas Mixture):
- Flame lifts off the burner (called “flame lift” or “blow-off”)
- Flame may sputter, flicker, or go out
- Can cause uneven heating and poor grill performance

Proper Adjustment
- Steady blue flame with a small yellow tip
- Clean, efficient burn = better heat, cleaner grill, tastier food
