The Napoleon N680-002 Thermocouple with Wire is a flame-sensing safety device designed for the rear (rotisserie/infrared) burner system on select Prestige grills. Its job is simple—and critical: detect flame, keep gas flowing. Lose flame, shut it down.

What it actually does

• Sits directly in the rear burner flame path
• Detects heat from the flame
• Signals the gas valve to stay open
• If flame goes out it automatically shuts off gas
